Natural Color Palettes: Cornfield

Here’s another photo that Eric took.  He was literally out in the field for work this time when these colors and textures caught his eye.

I’m beginning to see that natural color palettes are synonymous with ‘neutral’ color palettes.  Maybe.  No wonder most people like them – they’re everywhere.

I’m partial to the left end of this palette – looks an awful lot like the colors that I painted my old house:

Brown, white, and near black old house paint colors

When I first looked at this photo – I didn’t see the purple tones in it… but now I can’t help but see them.

Great shot, and nice palette…what did you use to generate it? I used to have a link to a palette generating site, it can’t seem to recall what it was..

I use Photoshop – the eyedropper tool… I just cruise around the photo and sample bits and pieces of it until I’m satisfied that I’ve got most of the colors represented… I’d love to see what a palette generating site would come up with… let me know if you remember that link!
