Here’s a moment in time – captured on Topsail Beach, NC last fall. We were at my sister-in-law’s wedding waiting to get our professional photos snapped. This one captures the mood of the moment very nicely. I love my boys 
The warm colors in the foreground and the cool colors in the background give this photo a nice balance. Again – just like the Yellowstone photo, the earth is warmer than the sky. In reality that’s true, but I’m sure that I can find (or challenge myself to take) a photo where the opposite is true – think sunset photo.
This photo and its color palette would do more than to be inspirational in a room where it was used. It would make that room personal. It would likely invoke memories of family time on the beach, of pinochle games at the beach house, of dining outside under the house sheltered from the rain, of cousins digging for buried treasure, of hot tubbing on the deck, of Auntie Gretchen in her beautiful gown…
