Last Monday – I was home with my eldest child, as she was still on ‘Spring Break’. Lucky for us, the weather was beautiful, and it happened to be 3-4 weeks prior to the last average frost in my area. Mini-garden makeover in progress… BEFORE Once upon a time, until maybe 4 years ago, there was a huge pine tree in the middle of my backyard. You can still see this tree on the google map… it was a biggie. Word on the street (previous owners & neighbors) was that this tree was struck by lightning and split in half. … (more…)
There they are… cryogenically preserved finally seeing the light of day – no snow left as of this week. Let’s remember what this will look like in a few months time, here’s a shot from the garden last year… *sigh* Alas, it’s now a blank canvas. Today – something a bit different. It’s 50 degrees out, and raining… and wow is that snow melting out there. I can almost see my raised beds. I’m dying to get out there and garden.
